It's been an eternity in Second Life time but after three years I'm back again to flounder my way through another reality avoidance period in my life.
Second Life could absolutely be used as a helpful, good tool but I like to think that my self destructive habit is SL and throwing myself into a world that has completely different rules to that other one. Okay, okay, the real life world sucks balls and I want to hide away and play dress ups with my virtual barbie doll and take lots of photo's and write lots of incoherent things here! Sheesh, can't a girl have a moment?!
Anyway, Sheree -- you know the amazing lady from Virtually Sheree -- gave me this landmark and told me (asked very nicely if I would like to go) check out Xanadu Forest. So, after I relearned how to change my clothes I set off on my little adventure.
Now I have the attention span of a goldfish, even with those smarty pants scientists proving it is more than a few seconds, so I didn't stay for as long as I'm sure you will. I did quite enjoy the hidden Baphomet statue and, what my gamer brain likes to think of as, the ode to Cult of the Lamb. I have zero proof it was inspired by the game but the ritual church area made me laugh gleefully. You'll absolutely have to check it out (turn right at the Xanadu sign).
There is an amazing amount to see so I really do urge you to take a look around, take some photo's and share them on Flickr!
For now, please enjoy the few pics I did take and I look forward to regaling you with more of my virtual adventures soon.
